WDW Moderate Resorts

The moderate resorts at Disney are sprawling and have lush landscaping that transport you to another placel!

The least expensive of the resort categories you'll find these common features at the value resorts:

  • Medium size food court

  • A ceiling fan in every room

  • Large pools with a fun theme and a slide

  • Smaller, quiet pools

  • Multiple bus stops

Coronado Springs Resort

Theming from colonial Spain, Mexico and New Mexico.    The large lake is the centerpiece of the resort.  There is also a pool that features a Mayan-looking slide and play area. Standard rooms are a comfortable 314 sq foot and include 2 queen beds.  This is a convention resort and because of that has a few additional features:  there are expanded dining options and workout facilities when compared with other moderate resorts.

Caribbean Beach Resort

This Disney moderate resort will remind you of the tropics.  Beautiful landscaping, exotic birds, and bright, colorful buildings transport you to a peaceful place.  You'll enjoy strolls and beaches at this resort.  The standard rooms here have 300 sq ft and sleep 4 and a child under 3.  There are some rooms with an additional pull-down bed appropriate for a child under 10.  A few pirate rooms have amazing theming and two double beds.

Ft. Wilderness Cabins

Air-conditioned cabins have 504 sq ft and sleep 6 plus a child under 3 in a bunk bed, double bed, a full wall pull-down bed. Each cabin features a fully equipped kitchen and living area.  Ft. Wilderness has nightly Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long with Disney characters, movies, and s'mores.  The standard pool does have a water slide.  There are several dining options available at the resort as well.

Port Orleans, French Quarter

A clean-crisp, family-friendly trip to the French Quarter.  The pool includes a large dragon reminiscent of Mardi-Gras parades.  Your kids can slide down the dragon's tongue.  The standard rooms here have 314 sq foot and have 2 queen beds that accommodate 4 people and a child under 3.

Port Orleans, Riverside

Lush landscaping reminds us of various regions in Louisiana like sprawling mansions, and the Mississippi River area.  Standar rooms are 314 sq ft. and sleep 4 plus a child under 3.  A few rooms have an additional pull down bed and are appropriate for a child under 10.  Little Princesses will enjoy the theming of the Royal Rooms at this resort which feature Disney Princesses and Fireworks on the headboards.  The largest pool has a Old-Mill theme and includes a slide.
